Agua Sana Fire and EMS are currently providing support to RAC Roads department, Rio Grande Fire and Chamita Fire in managing traffic flow and monitoring road conditions in Hernandez, Alcalde, Velarde and Chamita due to flooding. Please exercise caution when navigating previously flooded roads and refrain from attempting to cross roads with flowing water - turn around instead.

Tonight, Agua Sana VFD held training focused on SCBAs (Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus), continuing our commitment to safety, preparedness, and ongoing education. Trainings like these are essential to making sure our firefighters are ready to respond when our community needs us most.

A big thank you to all of our members who took the time to attend and participate. We would also like to give a special thank you to our Training Officer, Ohara, for sharing his knowledge, experience, and dedication to helping our department grow stronger. We appreciate all that you do!

Agua Sana Volunteer Fire Department was paged out to assist with a search and rescue involving a hot air balloon crew. The balloon made a safe landing in a remote area, but due to the terrain, the crew required assistance getting back to safety.

Our members responded quickly, located the crew, and safely assisted them back down without incident. We’re grateful for the teamwork and dedication shown by all responders involved in ensuring a positive outcome.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this call a success and for always being ready to serve our community.
