That number is staggering, because behind every package is a newly diagnosed breast cancer patient beginning a journey they never asked for.

Through our support of The Breast Cancer Fundraiser’s WeCare Program, the Butterfly Strong Foundation is helping make sure those patients feel cared for and supported throughout treatment.

The Breast Cancer Fundraiser creates a thoughtfully curated package around five areas of care: Beauty • Loved Ones • Wellness • Comfort • Journey - helping to create a world where no breast cancer patient feels alone.

Last week I had the honor of kicking off Breast Cancer Awareness Month LIVE on KTLA 5 Morning News

For me, the pink has always meant more than a color.

The pink ribbon is a symbol of awareness, hope and the millions of lives touched by breast cancer. But it’s also a reminder that awareness comes with responsibility. Be vigilant. Know your body. Pay attention when something feels different. Get screened. Advocate for yourself.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer at 35 after my husband noticed a subtle change I hadn’t noticed myself. It took me years to find my voice after cancer, and somewhere along that journey, I became Butterfly.

Sixteen years later, I get to use that voice to remind others that vigilance is your superpower.

For me, becoming Butterfly has been about turning pain into power and fear into strength, and using what I went through to help someone else.

Because when one story helps another person take action, and that person reaches another, we create ripples far beyond ourselves.

That’s the power of the pink. That’s the heart of . 🦋💪

16 years cancer-free, and I will never stop using my voice to remind women to know their bodies, get screened, ask questions and advocate for themselves.
