Indivisible Arts' Award-Winning Youth Art Program offers students the experience of complete creative freedom, while nourishing their ideas and self esteem.
With access to virtually any medium, students develop their own concepts and bring them to life. Our program specializes in providing individual attention to students, cultivating their ideas and their personal relationship to creativity. The byproduct of this is students developing creative problem solving tools that allow them to process stress and fear in constructive ways. Instead of suppressi
ng these feelings they learn to express them and understand them through creativity. Kids are growing up addicted to their screens. They need positive coping skills, and art classes are cheaper than therapy.

What’s your top book recommendation? My pick: “Love+Truth” by Robert Althuis. For anyone on the path of growth or spiritual development - this book breaks down the Universe and our Divine Selves in such a clean and structured manner. I’d say it’s Spiritual Path 101, except it’s delivers on the Profound complexities of advanced materials as well. The dozen people I know with the book, all swear to it with the same appreciation I have for it... Today is the 1 year anniversary of the books publishing - get one today, I promise you won’t be disappointed…

Connection through creativity. Lily and student of the week Jules are fastening fantastic fabrics into fun with fashion. "Sometimes you can just tell that the kid has the mind of an artist. It's in how they move, how they see things, how they relate to the moment. Although it's hard to put concrete words around the abstract essence of creative inspirado, this kid (jules) has got it" -

Orange
Words cannot describe the pain being felt by their families and Community. Today we gave our students, volunteers, artists, and teachers the opportunity to come together in a show of solidarity, sadness, and activism. Something needs to change or else this will never go away. Period.

“May is Mental Health Awareness Month😌!
In honor of this, we want to highlight our art and music instructor, Mr. Aidan (Indivisible Arts] ). 🎨
Mr. Aidan tells us why he thinks art is important for mental health:
“Processing and expressing our feelings is essential to our mental health. Everyone knows how it feels to hold on to emotions for too long, it can make us resentful, sad, anxious, etc., so instead of being ignored or suppressed, those feelings and experiences need to be processed and purged. Part of the reason art, and really creativity, is so magical, is its ability to act as a vehicle for our emotional processing. If we feel a certain way, we can learn to channel those feelings into the creation of art, where it's safe to. And once we are observing those emotions from the outside, instead of feeling them, there's a catharsis that comes. When someone learns to use them as tools, art and creativity can be essential to maintaining our mental health."

The interplay between the disciplines acts as an inspiration to his work, which incorporates involved, complex and experimental processes. The local artist has a fashion design degree from the Art Institute of Seattle and has designed clothing lines for Puma and many others. Alongside clothing, Rafael has designed multiple lines of snowboards, Webby award nomi- nated websites, and brand and design work from Chris Paul to Matthew McConaughey to MEK denim.

About Youth Art x Photography Classes
In the “Art x Photography” class, students will use a mix of mediums, including graphite, watercolor, acrylic, oil, pastels, gel crayons, and charcoal - while experimenting atop of canvas and with abstract techniques. Within the same class session, students go for photography walks - such as a walking tour of the Hermosa Pier and Plaza - capturing macrophotography and learning the essentials of photography (composition, color, lighting, aperture, shutter speed) along the way.
On-going classes and availability for students of all ages from 6 through 18. The classes are 90 minutes and meet once a week. The cost is $250/month (includes cost of materials, canvases, and use of photography equipment).
About Adult Art x Photography Classes
You know that nice camera you want to learn how to use - but haven’t quite found the time? Grab a group of friends and open up your artistic world with a customized art and photography class series design around you and your friends. Many people yearn to explore their creative side, they just need a safe, comfortable and fun place where they can learn and create. Whether it's introductory explorations or refining and further developing existing art skills, we strive to create a pressure-free atmosphere where you can create projects that make you proud of your work.
The Family Crest Series is a collaborative painting project between Rafael and families, centered around guided family art lessons and sessions. After the family painting sessions, Rafael works intimately with the family to create a custom work of art, representative of the family. The series aims to reinvent the concept of family crests and create lifelong family-painting memories that are photographed and prepared in a coffee-table art book that accompanies the painting.
