We follow a housing-first model and provide holistic survivor-centered, trauma-informed care in a long-term residentia

l community. The primary goal of our program is to inspire these women to re-imagine their lives and to empower and equip them to live healthy, financially independent, purpose-filled lives. The vision of Rest Stop Ministries is to grow and develop our residential restoration program into a model of excellence, and to launch a social enterprise that supports both the financial independence of our graduates and the sustainability of our program.

At Rest Stop Ministries, one of our core values is Community Healing in Safety. Creating a safe environment for the women we serve means being prepared to respond when it matters most.

During their recent CPR training, RSM staff strengthened their skills and readiness to provide care when the unexpected happens. This training is just one way we work to ensure that every survivor who walks through our doors is supported in an environment that prioritizes both healing and safety.

A special thank you to CPR with Jennie for providing this valuable training that will help equip our team with the knowledge and confidence we need to respond in critical situations.

We are so excited to announce a brand new retail partner, Cul2vate!

Cul2vate is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit Growing Food and Growing People right here in the Greater Nashville, TN area and beyond. Cul2vate feeds those who suffer from food insecurity by providing fresh produce grown locally on Cul2vate farms.

Cul2vate also feeds those with spiritual needs by employing and training them as “Cul2vators” to work the soil, grow and distribute food. Many of the Cul2vators hired have been incarcerated or are in recovery. Through farming, they find purpose, hope, and a way to give back.

We are so grateful for this thoughtful partnership that is supporting the economic empowerment of Rest Stop Ministries residents and lifting up HOPE for our community by providing accessibility to farm fresh products and mentorship for those rebuilding their lives.

🌱 Growing More Than Flowers 🌱

Gardening offers so much more than beautiful blooms and is known to reduce stress, improve mood, build confidence, encourage mindfulness, and create a sense of accomplishment.

For survivors on a healing journey, the simple act of nurturing something from a seedling to a bloom can be a powerful reminder that growth is possible, even after difficult seasons.

Earlier this month, the survivors at RSM planted mums during their hands-on paid job training hours with Good Hope Farms. Our very first crop will grow into beautiful mums to sell this fall!

What began as small plants and hopeful hands is growing into something much bigger, an opportunity to learn, work together, develop new life skills, and experience the rewards of patience and perseverance.

This little crop of mums is just the beginning of new ventures on the farm! Be sure to follow our social media pages to see what we'll be planting next and to learn how you can support our future harvests.

Month by month, step by step, she chooses healing, growth, and hope. And this month she celebrated her 8-month sobriety milestone! Her healing journey has been hard, but her strength and perseverance continue to inspire everyone around her.
