The Hickory County Toys for Kids Board of Directors would like to extend their sincere thank you to all the businesses and donors that helped to make Christmas 2025 special for so many families and kids in Hickory County, MO. A special thank you to Last Cast Guide Service-Master Captain Brian Mackesty for raffling off a guide trip that he donated and organizing the Crappie Tournament. Combined the donations from his effort raised 2980.00 for Toys for Kids.

Last Cast Fishing Guide Service LLC USCG Master captain Brian Mackesty recently presented a check to Hickory County Toys for Kids in the amount of $2,980.00. Brian organized a raffle and sold tickets for a guided fishing trip for up to three people, which by the way he donated. He also organized a Crappie Tournament on Pomme de Terre lake in December and donated all the proceeds from the tournament. All the participants in that tournament donated back their winnings that day. We would like to thank Brian of Last Cast Fishing Guide Service LLC along with those that sponsored the tournament or participated in it. Thank you to Off Beat Customs Buffalo, MO, Juniors Jigs, TRR Heating, Springfield, MO, Brad Shockey with I AM Outdoors and Crappie Slammers, Buffalo, MO, Eric Lamb, and Jeremy Stapp 365 Fishing Guide Service. Shown accepting the check from Brain and behalf of Hickory County Toys for Kids, is Brenda Carter, President of the Board. During Christmas 2025 they assisted 84 families equaling 247 kids by providing gift bags of toys or personal items for the older kids.

You all listen up. My friends at Hickory County Toys For Kids really worked hard this year preparing gifts for over 230 kids of 85 families. Everything is ready to be distributed. Pick up for the toys is 8:00 to 1:00 Thursday the 18th. THIS IS THE ONLY TIME YOU CAN PICK UP ITEMS! Remember to please enter from county road 285 (north of the Church) line up single file parallel to the Parish Center. You will be greeted and asked for your white ticket with your registration number. You must have the ticket for proof of registration. If you are unable to pick up your items and need to send someone by for them, they must have the ticket with your signature and their name on the back. Please have your vehicles prepared to load. (SPACE FOR THE ITEMS) Please be courteous to each other and especially our volunteers. They worked had for you.

Seriously folks, if you haven't been out to Light Up The Lake, tonight is a night you want to go. Hickory County Toys For Kids is manning the gate and they receive half of the donations to help purchase gifts for kids of Hickory County. Santa will be there to visit with the kids and the Christmas Truck will be parked nearby. The gates open at 5:30 pm and close at 9:00 pm. See you there!
