Save the Boundary Waters Action Fund is seeking two motivated and outgoing Electoral Organizing Interns to support our door-knocking program during this critical election year.

These individuals will play a key role in supporting Save the Boundary Waters Action Fund’s endorsed candidates by building and mobilizing volunteer teams for door-knocking events across the greater Twin Cities metro area.

This election year will be pivotal for the future of the Boundary Waters. By helping elect Boundary Waters champions, you'll gain hands-on organizing experience while making a meaningful impact on one of the nation's most iconic wilderness areas.

Now that the Minnesota State Legislative session is over, what's next? Save the Boundary Waters Action Fund will be working hard this summer and fall supporting pro-Boundary Waters candidates across the state. With federal protections for the BWCA watershed stripped, the state of Minnesota can act by passing the Boundary Waters Permanent Protection Bill. But that can't happen without a Boundary Waters majority. We need your support this year to help get Boundary Waters champions elected in November! Stay tuned for more. 🛶

Pete Stauber sold out the Boundary Waters, and we're holding him accountable all summer long on I-35.

70% of Minnesotans support permanent protection of the Boundary Waters, and since 2016, 675,000 Americans have commented in favor of protecting the watershed of the Boundary Waters from copper mining. 56% of voters in Minnesota’s 8th Congressional District (Rep. Stauber) oppose copper mining near the Boundary Waters.

Meanwhile, Rep. Stauber is trying to hand over the clean water of the BWCA to a Chilean owned mining conglomerate that sends its metals to China.

I’m proud to be endorsed by the Save the Boundary Waters Action Fund!

Protecting our water isn’t just an "environmental" issue—it’s about our local economy, our Minnesotan outdoorsy way of life, and our responsibility to current and future generations of a clean, local, freshwater source.

The Boundary Waters is one of Minnesota’s greatest assets. It supports local jobs in tourism, recreation, and small business AND it provides some of the cleanest freshwater in the entire country. If a foreign company wants to mine here, ship profits overseas, and leave us with the entire risk—that’s not economic development. That is nothing but a MAJOR disaster waiting to happen.

This is currently a Congressional issue. But the fact it wasn't immediately shot down is concerning--and if passed it will be left up to the State of MN.

I support the current Senate bill (SF 875), because once our water is tainted, it’s tainted for good. And NOBODY likes tainted water.

On Saturday, Save the Boundary Waters Action Fund protested in front of Congressman Stauber's Hermantown office ahead of the U.S. Senate vote on HJ Res 140 - which would overturn the 20-year ban on copper mining in the Boundary Waters headwaters.

70% of Minnesotans support permanent protection for the Boundary Waters, and communities closest to the Boundary Waters in Cook, Lake, and Saint Louis County all voted against Rep. Stauber in the last election. Yet Rep. Stauber continues to prioritize finding legislative loopholes to hand over America’s most visited Wilderness to the highest bidder and send the minerals to China.
