Juniper’s Gin Library is a cozy, boutique nano-bar located at 213 Schiller Street in the heart of Missouri's historic wine country of Hermann, MO. Originally established by owner Jennifer Davis as The Tasting Room at Übernachten, the venue later underwent a complete remodel and rebrand to debut its current library-themed aesthetic. The intimate space pairs sophisticated, dark-walled decor with custom-built comfort, famously overseen by the bar's resident cat, Gunther.
To celebrate its upcoming transition into a brand-new chapter, the Hermann Area Chamber of Commerce is honoring Juniper’s Gin Library as the Business of the Month for June 2026.
The Nano-Bar Experience
Purposefully limited in square footage, the bar’s signature "nano" format ensures a quiet, relaxed atmosphere. It offers a peaceful alternative to the town's larger crowds, focusing instead on high-quality hospitality:
Focused Tastings: Expert staff members guide visitors through the complex profiles of premium, botanical spirits.
Curated Menus: The bar specializes in custom craft cocktails, and flights.
Intimate Vibe: Carefully selected design details and intentional seating layouts foster effortless, quiet conversations.
Transition and Farewell Hours
The historic building has officially shifted ownership and will soon embark on its next venture. Starting at the beginning of July 2026, the space will open as an expansion for the neighboring LionHeart Whiskey Co..
Juniper's Gin Library will continue welcoming guests through its final day of operation on Sunday, June 28. Locals and tourists alike are encouraged to drop in to purchase retail bottles, enjoy a final round of cocktails, and wish Jennifer and her team a fond farewell.
Final Operating Hours: Fridays and Saturdays from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and Sundays 11AM to 3PM.
