🎶 Free Summer Music Program for Students! 🎶

The Music Repertoire M.U.S.I.K. Program is back for Summer 2026! 🎤🥁🎸

Open to youth ages 11–17 who live in Rodeo or Crockett, or attend John Swett Unified School District. Students will learn the basics of voice, keyboards, drums, and guitar—all while having fun and building confidence through music.

Today, we had the privilege of visiting the Diablo Valley Rotary Club, where our speaker, the CEO of the Wheelchair Foundation, David Behring shared a compelling vision with us. We are driven to deliver 2 containers of wheelchairs to the Philippines, bringing hope and mobility to our kababayans who are in desperate need. Each container will be filled with 260-280 wheelchairs, carefully designed to cater to the specific needs of recipients with various types of disabilities. With a goal to raise $50,000, we are thrilled to announce that every dollar we raise will be matched 100% by the Wheelchair Foundation, effectively doubling our impact. Any type of support will be very much appreciated. We are planning to hold a fundraising gala to raise funds and bring awareness of this initiative.

A collaboration has been forged between the Boilermakers Union in Benicia, Torlakson Whole Child Institute, Philips 66, John Swett Unified School District, and the Hercules-Rodeo-Crockett Rotary Club. This partnership is designed to forge a career pathway for students spanning from 8th grade to high school, complete with hands-on learning and apprenticeship opportunities that can lead to high-paying positions. The Torlakson Whole Child Institute, supported by 14 unions across the state, offers a range of programs tailored for high schools. This will be the first time 8th-grade students from JSUSD will be introduced to these opportunities, setting them up for success and monitoring their development throughout high school. This partnership signifies a major step forward in student career development. This site is appx 48,000 ++ sf ft and will be a great training institute for our youth. So exciting to be a part of this major project!

Today is the final dictionary distribution to Rodeo Hills Elementary School 3rd grade class. Everyone of us who participated really enjoyed our interaction with the children. Watching them so excited receiving this dictionary will create such an impact in their memory. Aimee and I had an opportunity to meet with our JSUSD Superintendent Leticia Bhatia and she mentioned when she was a kid, she also received a dictionary from Rotary. That’s the impact❤️ and full circle, she’s now our Superintendent for JSUSD. Amazing❤️
