Happy birthday to civil rights pioneer, Claudette Colvin. At just 15 years old, Colvin made history when she refused to give up her seat on a segregated bus. Her refusal marked one of the earliest acts of defiance against Jim Crow laws and helped inspire the fight for racial equality. Claudette Colvin's courage reminds us that justice is won when we remain firm and unwavering in our beliefs.

Below, is a personal additional level of school board trustee accountability. I believe the most informed board members are those that know what is happening on sites. Visiting sites, attending site level meetings and site events allows a board member the opportunity to see the board’s vision, and policies in the implementation phase.

Below, I am listing out all the school sites I visited. The colors represent the number of visits I have done for the month. These colors represent traditional walk throughs, site committee meetings, or a site event.

My goal is to visit every school in the district at least once. I will update this form each month.

I have visited with a traditional walk through 28 of our schools at least once. The below pictures represent August 18th through September 4th.
