On behalf of Pony Bird, you are invited to join us as a guest to meet and connect with your local legislators at our upcoming event:

• Coffee with Legislators (plus continental breakfast)
• Date & Time: December 2, 2026, 7:30-7:50 AM meet/greet, 7:50 – 8:30 AM open-panel discussion
• Location: Pony Bird, 1615 Vine School Road, Herculaneum, MO 63048


This event will bring together community members, advocates, and leaders to discuss the future of disability services and advocacy in Missouri. Your insights and leadership are essential as we explore:

• Current legislative efforts impacting disability services
• Strategies to protect Medicaid funding and ensure equity for individuals with disabilities
• Opportunities for inclusive policies and sustainable support

Why It Matters:
Federal proposals are creating opportunities for important conversations about the future of Medicaid and disability services. You play a pivotal role in shaping solutions, fostering collaboration, and driving action to ensure continued access and equity for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Congratulations to Cracker Barrel Old Country Store in Fenton, Missouri, for being Pony Bird’s 2026 Employer of the Year!

Restaurant manager Dearell Homer (holding the plaque) hired Erek (left) almost two years ago to work the back kitchen, and since then Erek has thrived as one of Cracker Barrel’s most dependable workers. Originally from Modesto, California, Erek takes pride in keeping the restaurant’s kitchen clean and ready to go for the next customer.

Thank you to Enterprise Bank & Trust for including Pony Bird in the all-employee “Day for Good” volunteer day last Thursday! Several volunteers from various bank branches served at Pony Bird’s Mapaville, De Soto, and Arnold Pomme Road properties to help clean and organize, decorate for Halloween, and play games and fun activities with the resident individuals. It was a great day for everyone, and we look forward to our next visit from Enterprise Bank!

Pony Bird is hosting a two-part Advocacy Training designed to help individuals with disabilities and parents/caregivers/supporters to become stronger, more informed advocates.

👨‍👩‍👧 Parents and Caregivers: Learn practical tools for supporting your loved one, understanding rights, and advocating for meaningful opportunities and inclusion.

In honor of National Disability Employment Awareness Month, we’d like to give a shout-out to our repeat employers! These employers have seen the value of hiring individuals with disabilities, as evidenced by having multiple employees in a variety of positions and by frequently reaching out to Pony Bird Employment Services for candidates.

Pictured here is GM Eric at The Pasta House Co. Arnold , with employees Shelly, Jimmy, and James. Not pictured: Adam, Lucas, and Tyler. Their six current employees were hired as long as 30 years ago and as recently as 4 months ago!
