Hello friends,
We’ve been wanting to send an update your way, as we’ve had some exciting things take place recently. We decided to wait until now so we could put everything together into one update and highlight some of the things that have been taking place.
Kids Home Update;
WE DID IT !!!!!!!!!!!!! After 4 long years we finally finished the construction of our kids’ home. Elise and the kids moved into the house on July 14th 2026. We are so thankful to each & every one of you that helped us make this dream a reality. This will be a place, a home, a property where we will be able to provide love & care to all those that God brings our way. Unfortunately, some of the beds that our girls were using were quite old and fell apart when they tried to disassemble and move them. The girls are now sleeping on mattresses on the floor. We would love to be able to purchase 3 new double beds and mattresses for them. The cost will be $525.00. For us it would be a necessity that we wouldn’t even think twice about, for them it is almost a luxury. Will you please consider donating so that we can bless these precious young ladies.
Finishing the construction of this home now allows us to put all our focus into the work we are there to do which is to care for the physical, mental, medical, and spiritual needs of the underserved and most vulnerable children of Kigoma, Tanzania. Every step we take is guided by the belief that every child deserves the chance to grow up in a safe, loving environment where they can learn, dream, and achieve their full potential.
Outreach to Mwanza;
Elise and Adoneth went on a 2-week outreach to a city called Mwanza. There is a large people- group or tribe called the Wasukuma who live in that city & the surrounding areas. The objective was to get to the more rural areas where many Wasukuma work as herders & tend to their flocks.
The girls had a team of people from Kigoma and Mwanza working with them over the 2 weeks they were there. They set up their base camp at a local church. It took a few days to set up their base, gather needed supplies, meet with local leaders & connect all the moving parts to see this effort be as effective as possible. The team went door to door, introduced themselves, shared the gospel, and asked if they had any needs they could pray for.
This outreach was very effective and most people were receptive. There were planned women’s seminars focusing on prayer, fundamentals of living a Christian life, and medical information shared (as Adoneth is a nurse). In the evening, The Life of Jesus film was shared with the villagers.
This outreach was particularly challenging as it is 10 hours away from Kigoma, and it is a fairly harsh area. They experienced some pushback as witchcraft is quite prevalent in this region. Yet the girls and the team stayed diligent. They prayed, they worked, they ministered and many people gave their lives to Christ.
The team was able to distribute Dress A Girl Dresses that we were gifted from Angels of Mercy and some of the boys received new socks also!
Outside of Kigoma;
Along with all the work we do in Kigoma, we set aside time & resources to do a 2 week outreach annually. Adoneth and Elise feel it is their obligation to go and minister to people outside of their home area.
We are committed to fulfilling what it says in Matthew 28 19-20; Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
We have attached some pictures and a couple of videos from the outreach. The pictures show a little bit of the environment and the people including the boys & girls that received dresses & socks. In the videos Elise is interviewing some women who accepted Christ as their Lord & Savior during the outreach. One of the ladies was a Muslim and came to faith. They all testified that when they accepted Christ something inside of them changed. The joy & peace they received was palatable. Please pray for all the new believers that they continue to grow and remain faithful to Him.
