From September 8-11, the men of Texas Pi tabled on campus to show support for the university and fallen police officers. In response to the national media concern for Sam Houston State University students and the family of the late Deputy Goforth, these Phis asked students to sign a banner that would be given to the Goforth family. The Texas Pi Chapter would also like to thank all of the Phis in the U.S. and Canada who protect us every day as law enforcement officers.

Thanks to all whom showed up to Pitch-A-Tent and the Volleyball tournament.

On another note, here is an update on Plank:

He is doing well, and is continuing to make steady strong progress. In fact he is being taken out of the ICU to be put on a more stable floor. (whenever a room becomes free).

Latest update on Plank:

He has been off sedation, however he is still in a medically induced coma. Each day he is showing continuous good signs of improvement. He has been off the respirator and breathing on his own for a few days now.

This coming Sunday (April 14) a restaurant in Newark (about 45 minutes away) will be holding a fundraiser dinner for Plank. It is a pasta dinner (eat in or take out) that starts at 12, and tickets are $10 each, there will also be a bunch of good raffle items so bring a few extra bucks to help the cause. You can purchase a ticket at the door. The name of the place is The Corner Tavern, and its address is 101 W Union St, Newark, New York 14513.
