Did you know that the ELKS are the reason we celebrate Flag Day?

In 1908, the Elks Grand Lodge formally established June 14 as Flag Day, making the Elks the only fraternal organization in the nation that mandates an annual formal Flag Day ceremony in every Lodge.

The Elks’ unwavering commitment to patriotism helped elevate Flag Day into the national spotlight. In 1916, President Woodrow Wilson officially proclaimed June 14 as Flag Day, and in 1949, President Harry S. Truman—an Elks member from Independence, Missouri—signed legislation permanently recognizing it as a national observance.

We hope you will join us for this short ceremony, followed by a light supper in the lodge!

Tuesday, June 9 - Shuffleboard Mini-Tournament 6 pm. All welcome - teams formed by random draw! Lounge open till 9 PM.
Wednesday, June 10 - Lodge Meeting 7 PM. Lounge open till 10 PM (closed during meeting).
Thursday, June 11 – Horseshoe League 6:00 PM. Lounge menu 6-8 PM. Queen of Hearts drawing 7:45 PM. Lounge open till 9 pm.
Friday, June 12 – Dinner service 5:30-7:30 PM. Special: Chicken Pot Pies. If you can't make dinner, stop in for dessert & a beverage! Weekly drawing 7 pm. Lounge open till 10 pm.
Saturday, June 13 – Lounge open till 6 pm
Sunday, June 14 – FLAG DAY CEREMONY & CELEBRATION, 6 PM in the pavilion, with a light supper in the lodge to follow. This shorty & moving ceremony is one of our Elks obligations. The community is welcome! Bring your friends & family!

Beef or chicken tacos, nachos, and nachos supreme available to order.

⚾️⚾️⚾️Elks at ESL tomorrow Sunday 5/31. For ticket holders, we will meet you at our section in the ballpark. Then, after the game, back to the lodge for our indoor picnic. NEW TO EVENT--just show up, Al and Erin take care of the food! The picnic will be available for purchase separately if you couldn't make the game.⚾️⚾️⚾️
