Richmond, VA — The KLM Scholarship Foundation is proud to announce a new scholarship program enhancement designed to support Virginia residents pursuing higher education at accredited colleges and universities across the United States. This expansion reflects the Foundation’s ongoing commitment to empowering students, strengthening communities, and increasing access to educational opportunities.
Expanding Access to Higher Education
Effective immediately, the KLM Scholarship Foundation will offer financial assistance to eligible Virginia residents who demonstrate academic promise, leadership potential, and a commitment to community service. Scholarships may be applied toward tuition, books, and other educational expenses at any accredited U.S. institution.
“Our mission has always been to open doors for students who are ready to work hard and make a difference,” said Founder Kimberley L. Martin. “By expanding our scholarship program nationwide, we are giving Virginia students the freedom to pursue their academic goals wherever they find the best fit.”
Eligibility Requirements
• Be a current resident of the Commonwealth of Virginia
• Be enrolled or planning to enroll in an accredited college or university within the United States
• Demonstrate academic achievement and financial need
Application Timeline
The scholarship application period opened May 1, 2026 and closes June 30, 2026. Award recipients will be notified during the July – August timeframe.
