A Scout is reverent. Troop 9 joined with Troop 157 Hendersonville, TN for a morning of service, cleaning up the church grounds…and finishing up with some snow cones!

It was a wet and crazy weekend, but we persevered, helping rangers at Fall Creek Falls State Park with trail maintenance…all while chasing waterfalls and getting some hiking in!

A big congrats to Abby for passing her Eagle Board of Review! She officially joins the ranks as Troop 9’s fourth Eagle Scout! We are all so proud of your hard work and dedication!

Yesterday, we not only celebrated the achievements of our Scouts at our Court of Honor…but the dedication and contributions of two leaders and forces of nature. Hart and Rebecca have helped shape the very fabric of Troop 9, leading by example and carving out a space for our scouts. As they pass the torch to the next generation of leadership, Sarah M. as Scoutmaster and Sarah K. as Committee Chair, we are excited that they will continue to be a part of the Troop 9 family and have set up our new leadership to continue the important work of developing our youth.

Onwards and upwards, Troop 9!

It’s been a busy winter and spring, with lots of events in the books! We welcomed several new Scouts and held a skills day to teach them all things scouting, including fire starting, cooking, setting up shelter in the outdoors and ax/saw skills!
