THIRSTY THURSDAY ADULT TENNIS
TIME CHANGE FOR OCTOBER

Starting October 8 until the last session on October 29, the time is changing to: 6:00 to 7:30 pm.

Enjoy the cooler fall nights under the lights at Jackson Park. Fun play directed by our Tennis Pro, Nicole, for ages 16 and up and all ability levels. Suggested donation: $5/evening.

We salute the 18 financial sponsors and the 13 in-kind donors who helped bring the 2026 Apple Open to life over Labor Day Weekend. We couldn't have done it without our sponsors and donors. Please thank and patronize them! And of course, many thanks to our volunteers and the playing venues, too, especially our main host site: Hendersonville Racquet Club.

The 47th Annual Apple Open is now in the record books! We had about 140 players who played in 137 matches in 23 divisions. There were 36 champions (see chart below)! We also had 34 volunteers, and an outstanding Tournament Director, Chris Bull, and a wonderful Tournament Referee, Dottie Mattern. Thanks also to our two venues: Hendersonville Racquet Club and Kenmure Country Club. We were grateful to have Jackson Park as a backup, although we did not need it. In addition, many, many thanks to our 18 financial sponsors and our 13 In-Kind Donors.

The cookbooks will be on sale in the clubhouse at Hendersonville Racquet Club on Saturday, August 29 for one hour, from 9:30 to 10:30 am. Grab one now!
And remember, if you can't get it on the 28th, you only have to wait one week to buy it during the Apple Open Tennis Tournament at the same location from September 3-6!

Have you been sad that you can't get a copy of the new cookbook: "SERVE IT UP!" until the Apple Open in September?
Well, here's some good news: You can purchase a copy on Saturday, August 8 at the Banana Open Doubles Tennis Tournament at the Asheville Racquet Club, 200 Racquet Club Road. One day only. If you can't get it on the 8th, there's only four more weeks until the Apple Open in Henderson County!

THIRSTY THURSDAY CANCELLED BECAUSE OF RAIN & THUNDER. Previous plans to bring food over have also been cancelled due to the bad weather right now at Jackson Park.
The best-laid plans of mice and tennis enthusiasts often go awry.
