The Mercy Chair

The Mercy Chair The Mercy Chair is a Christ-centered ministry serving those in need through free haircuts, clothing, and care.

We believe that simple acts of love can restore dignity, renew hope, and open the door for Jesus to transform lives. Introducing The Mercy Chair

At The Mercy Chair, our mission is simple but powerful: to extend love, mercy, and support to individuals in need. As a nonprofit hair salon, we offer free haircuts and washes to members of our community who are experiencing challenges such as addiction,

homelessness, or hopelessness. Our services are more than just about a fresh look—they are about restoring dignity, boosting self-esteem, and showing the love of God to those who need it most. We believe that a simple act of kindness, like a haircut, can be transformative and help individuals rediscover their worth. We are committed to creating a welcoming space where every person feels seen, heard, and valued. At The Mercy Chair, we are more than just a salon—we are a place of healing, hope, and grace.

If there's one thing the devil doesn't like, it's ministry. He will do everything he can to create obstacles, distractions, and setbacks in an attempt to stop the work being done. But today, we're not going to let car troubles hold us back!

We are incredibly thankful for Heather and Linette with Moms With a Mop for graciously allowing us to use their vehicle for the next few days while ours continues to be diagnosed and repaired. Your generosity is helping us continue serving those who need it most, and we are so grateful.

Tonight, we are excited to hit the streets and share the love of Jesus with our community. We ask that you join us in prayer—that chains of addiction will be broken, that depression will lose its grip, and that the bruises and scars left by the enemy will no longer keep people bound. Pray that hope, healing, freedom, and restoration will be found tonight.

If you would like to help support tonight's outreach, we will be serving chicken wings, green beans, and potatoes. The average cost is about $6–$7 per plate. Any donation, big or small, helps us continue feeding and serving our neighbors.

If you'd like to sponsor a meal or make a donation toward future outreach efforts, we would be deeply grateful.

Thank you all for your continued prayers, support, and encouragement. Together, we are making a difference—one meal, one conversation, and one life at a time. ❤️

🌱 HELP US GROW HOPE! 🌱

We are excited to share that our landlord has graciously offered us a piece of property next to our building that we can transform into a community garden!

Our vision is to create a space that provides fresh fruits, vegetables, herbs, and flowers for those experiencing homelessness and others in need within our community. We also hope to grow plants and products that can be sold to help support the mission of The Mercy Chair and create long-term sustainability for our nonprofit.

To make this dream a reality, we need YOUR help!

We are currently looking for:

🌿 Volunteers to help remove existing shrubs and relocate them
🌿 People willing to help clear weeds and clean up the property
🌿 Gardeners and landscapers who can share their expertise
🌿 Individuals or groups interested in building raised beds
🌿 Donations of gardening tools, soil, mulch, plants, seeds, and supplies
🌿 Community members with ideas for crops that would benefit our neighbors and support our nonprofit

Our estimated fundraising goal is between **$1,500 and $2,000** to cover soil, plants, seeds, tools, irrigation supplies, raised beds, and other startup costs.

Every dollar helps us move one step closer to creating a beautiful space that feeds people, teaches skills, builds community, and grows hope.

💚 If you would like to support this project financially, donations can be made through:

If you have landscaping experience, gardening knowledge, access to equipment, or simply a willing heart and a few free hours, we would love to hear from you!

Together, we can turn an empty piece of land into something that nourishes our community for years to come.

Please share this post and help us spread the word! 🌻🥕🍅

Today was a special day for The Mercy Chair as we had the opportunity to celebrate our partnership with the ABCCM Veterans Restoration Quarters!

One of the best things about a fresh haircut isn't just looking good—it's the meaningful conversations, connections, and encouragement that come along with it. We are honored to spend time with these incredible men, and many of them have shared how excited they are for us to continue coming back each month.

We have also started bringing snack bags for the men, and they have quickly become one of their favorite treats! These small acts of kindness help remind people that they are seen, valued, and cared for.

We are also currently looking for a sponsor to help us purchase a new, stylish barber/stylist chair for use at the Veterans Restoration Quarters. If you own a salon, barbershop, or simply have a chair in good condition that you would be willing to donate, we would love to hear from you. Having a dedicated chair would help us create a more comfortable and professional experience for the veterans we serve.

None of this would be possible without the continued support of our community. Every haircut, every snack bag, and every opportunity to serve is made possible through your generosity.

If you would like to help us continue this mission, please consider making a donation:

Your support helps us provide dignity, hope, encouragement, and practical care to those who need it most.

Thank you for helping us make a difference—one haircut, one conversation, and one act of kindness at a time. ❤️✂️🇺🇸

🎡❤️ WOW! What an incredible day at The Mercy Chair Carnival! ❤️🎡

From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU to every volunteer, donor, sponsor, vendor, participant, and family who came out to support this event. What happened today was only possible because of a community of people who believe in loving others, serving our neighbors, and making a difference together.

To our volunteers who gave their time, energy, and talents, thank you for serving with such joyful hearts. To our donors and sponsors who helped provide supplies, food, prizes, and financial support, thank you for investing in this mission. And to every person who attended, played games, shared a smile, and supported our cause, thank you for being part of something special.

Because of your generosity, we are able to continue the work of The Mercy Chair as we serve those in need, share hope, and help people take their next steps forward. We truly could not do this alone.

If you weren't able to attend but would still like to support our mission, donations are always welcome. Every gift helps us continue serving our community and sharing the love of Christ.
