Mark your calendar on June 12th to head on over to the Elevate50 Hendersonville Annual Health & Wellness Expo. This is a free event with great resources available right here in our community.

Ladies and Gentlemen and kids of all ages...

Presenting the annual Hendersonville Health and Wellness Expo. Friday, June 12th from 10-2 at Elevate50 in Hendersonville.

This is our 12th event and each year it grows! Our goal has been to include THE ENTIRE COMMUNITY'S needs, which means pediatrics, geriatrics, dentists and any OTHER health and wellness business that helps us become healthier; and in 2025, we did it! We had Pediatrics, Dental offices, Home Health, Parkinson's organizations, chiropractic care and more.

We are seeking sponsors for this event, as well. This is an event as a vendor you will not want to miss!

PLEASE SHARE! Hope to see you on June 12th!!

This Memorial Day, we will pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. ❤️ Their sacrifice gave us the freedoms we enjoy each day, and we are forever grateful for their courage, selflessness, and love for others.

As you gather with family and friends this weekend, take a moment to reflect on those who never made it home and the families who continue to carry their memory.

Congratulations to CLR May 2026 Volunteer Champion, Iva Smedley!

Iva started driving in May of 2025. Since then, she has driven 922 miles and given over 77 hours of service. She has advocated for the program through outreach events like Gallatin Square Fest and is actively talking about her experience to recruit new volunteers.

Iva became involved with CLB after her husband passed and her friend Grace shared with her about our program. She loves meeting all the people and swapping stories. Iva enjoys getting to build relationships with riders. While CLB is her main volunteer position, Iva also is involved with her church and always willing to help her friends. Thank you Iva for all you do!

If you would like to be part of the amazing team that Iva is a part of, check out our website to find out more! www.communitylifebridge.org

Every May, the Administration for Community Living leads the nation’s observance of Older Americans Month, a time to recognize older Americans' contributions, highlight aging trends, and reaffirm our commitment to serving older adults.

The 2026 theme, Champion Your Health, focuses on prevention, wellness, and personal responsibility as cornerstones of healthy aging. It encourages taking an active role in managing your own health, advocating for yourself, accessing preventive care, and making informed decisions that support independence.

Community Life Bridge is proud to support older adults who want to be active in their own lives and our community! Let's encourage those older than us and advocate for them where there is opportunity!

Older Americans Month starts today! This year’s theme, Champion Your Health, encourages taking an active role in your well-being through prevention, healthy habits, and informed decisions. Get involved: acl.gov/oam

Did you know that nearly 1 in 3 adults over 50 experience social isolation, and almost 40% struggle with loneliness? These numbers are more than statistics—they represent neighbors, friends, parents, and grandparents who may be missing meaningful connection every day.

At Community Life Bridge, we believe every older adult deserves to feel connected, supported, and valued. Through rides, social opportunities, volunteer connections, and community support, we are working to bridge the gap of unmet needs so older adults can continue living life to the fullest. ❤️

Want to learn how we can make a difference together? Be sure to read Christine’s article in the latest Aging Well section of the Hendersonville Standard and discover how our community can help change these statistics—one connection at a time.
