Our Story

An underlying factor to the health and well-being of many seniors is the lack of reliable transportation. The inability to get to doctor's appointments, pharmacy or grocery store, shop and even socialize with friends are part of the cultural norms lacking for this population. Ultimately nutrition along with spiritual, physical and mental health may be negatively impacted by isolation and lack of basic needs.

Community Life Bridge is a 501(c)3 that exists to serve the needs of seniors in Sumner County. In our journey to identify a potential resource, we investigated several programs across the state of Tennessee who were also working to address the issue in their communities. in 2017, We learned a similar initiative was in development in our neighbor city of Nashville through the Council on Aging. Founded in 2017, Senior Ride Nashville is our sister organization and serves as the model for Senior Ride Sumner, launching in May 2019.
