Arts promotes the artistic talents of students from middle school through high school in the Hendersonville, TN area. Arts is an affiliate of the Hendersonville Arts Council and together they have a synergetic effect on arts in the community. Arts wishes to support teachers of the arts in their work with students and offer networking opportunities for them and their students.

Shahnaz Lighari was born in Connecticut and raised in Kingston Springs, TN. She studied Fine Art at Watkins College of Art & Design with a special focus on art history and the history of cinema. As a visual artist, she is inspired by the natural world. Motivated by helping children in the world of creativity, Shahnaz has fast become one of the MACC's favorite art instructors. Her "Draw Your Heart Out" and "Mixed Media" classes are a perfect fit for your young budding artist! Teen and Adult watercolor classes with Shahnaz are available this fall!
