The Hendersonville Woman's Club, Inc. proudly sponsors 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫 𝐁𝐞𝐚𝐫, created by artist Sarah W. Maupin Illustration, in 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐨𝐟 the Henderson County Education Foundation. Designed as a tribute to the 250th anniversary of our nation, this patriotic Bearfootin’ Bear draws inspiration from the American flag’s stars and stripes, reimagined through 𝐠𝐞𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜 𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐭 𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐬 for a look that is both classic and dynamic. Centered primarily around the traditional Ohio Star quilt pattern, the design also incorporates a rose motif, honoring the rose as the national floral emblem of the United States. Rendered in shades of blue with touches of dark mauve and red, The American Star Bear beautifully blends Americana, artistry, and heritage. Through this sponsorship, the Hendersonville Woman’s Club continues its long tradition of enriching our community through service, while helping the Henderson County Education Foundation invest in students, schools, and opportunities that help every child reach their full potential.

UPDATE: REUNITED!! this pet is home safe & sound after 1 days, 14 hours :)

🚨 This dog was FOUND TODAY in Hendersonville, NC 28739 near stepp ave.

💬 Finder's Message: "i found this sweet baby today after it ran in front of my car while doordashing. i stopped to make sure it was okay, opened my car door and it jumped right in. gave me a look like please dont leave me alone which i would never lol i love dogs and honestly was like if this dog is mine now im thanking the Gods bc I love it already. so i got it in my possession, its cozy in bed, full belly and in the AC safe. I am 1000% willing to keep it if someone doesnt claim. too late to scan for chip today will do that tomorrow but figure its the right thing to do to try and find owners first "

We're celebrating a big achievement at BRHS! Last month, our Spay Neuter Incentive Program, or SNIP, broke the previous monthly surgery record of 200 from October 2019.

In April 2026, our team facilitated 206 surgeries! 🎉

We are proud to partner with Henderson County to bring low-cost spay and neuter surgeries to Henderson County residents. Thank you for allowing us to help take care of your fur babies and for helping to control the pet population! You all rock!
