What if one of the biggest leadership mistakes churches make is confusing filling spots with developing people?
When someone says, “I want to make a difference for Christ,” our first instinct is often to think about where we have a need. Nursery. Greeters. Parking lot. Small group.
But what if the better question is:
How has God uniquely gifted this person, and how can we help them flourish?
Churches don't experience disciple-making movements by simply filling volunteer schedules. Rather, they happen when we help people discover their calling, develop their gifts, and use them for the Kingdom.
The difference is subtle but significant.
Are we building ministries around organizational needs, or are we helping people step into their God-given potential?
