We are pleased to announce the Henderson County Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2026!
Nick Gregory (HCHS ’15 – Soccer & Football)
A record‑setting scorer with 90 career soccer goals, including a program‑best 41 in a single season. Three‑time First Team All‑State, four‑year letterwinner in two sports, Region Player of the Year twice, and a standout kicker in football. Continued his soccer career at Georgetown College.
Antoinne Lightfoot (HCHS ’07 – Football, Track, Basketball)
HCHS football’s all‑time leader in touchdowns (54). A dynamic multi‑sport athlete with top‑10 career rankings in rushing, receiving, and scoring. First Team All‑State and a key part of two region championship teams. Also a region champion sprinter and a three‑time regional runner‑up in basketball.
Adam Hobson (HCHS ’08 – Track & Field)
One of the most decorated pole vaulters in school history. 2008 Region Champion and 2008 KHSAA 3A State Champion, clearing 13’0” to become only the third HCHS athlete to win a state pole vault title. Competed collegiately at Bellarmine University and later earned his MBA and CPA.
Ronald “Moto” Vaughn (City High ’76 – Football & Track)
Defensive captain, team MVP, and All‑Big 8 linebacker who helped lead City High to the 1975 AAA District Championship. A two‑time regional pole vault champion and two‑time state runner‑up whose school record of 13’6” still stands.
Coach Tom Fisher (HCHS Basketball)
A coaching cornerstone for more than three decades. Contributed to roughly 550 wins and three regional basketball championships (1990, 1996, 1999). Also, a long‑time football coach at North Middle and a coach at Chandler, Madisonville, and Webster County.
2011 HCHS Boys Soccer Team
A historic Final Four squad with a school‑record 22 wins and 13 shutouts. Their playoff run included dominant victories over Hopkins Central, Madisonville, Owensboro Catholic, Daviess County, Heath, and UHA before reaching the state semifinals under Coach Benson Pryor.
The 2026 Henderson County Sports Hall of Fame inductees will be introduced at halftime during the first Colonels football home game on Friday, August 28 vs Madisonville. The Hall of Fame banquet will be held the following evening Saturday, August 29 6pm in the HCHS cafeteria.
