“You have the power to protect your peace.”

Not everything deserves your energy. Not every situation needs a response. And not every problem has to be carried into a new week.

This Monday, give yourself permission to step back, set boundaries, focus on what truly matters, and choose peace when you can. ❤️

Protect your heart. Protect your time. Protect your peace.

And remember—sometimes the best thing you can do for yourself and others is simply to pause, breathe, and let God handle what you cannot.

❤️ Happy Friday, Henderson! ❤️

And just like that… we’ve reached the last Friday of August! 🍂

What a month it has been at HCCO! From serving families in our pantry to welcoming volunteers, celebrating our amazing community partners, and continuing our 40-year mission, we are so thankful for everyone who helps make our work possible.

As you head into the weekend, take a moment to slow down, enjoy the people you love, and remember to be grateful for the little things.

Thank you for another amazing month of supporting HCCO and our neighbors. ❤️

❤️ Supporting Our Community—One Step at a Time! 🦊👟

Well… Ms. Susan may have learned that sponsoring a 5K can come with a little more exercise than expected! 😂

HCCO was proud to support the FOX 5K benefiting Father Bradley Shelter, and apparently “being a sponsor” meant walking 3 miles! 😅

A huge thank you to Lisa O’Nan and Danny for sweating it out alongside Susan and making it a little more fun. ❤️

Susan says it was her first 5K and most likely her last… although we aren't sure we're letting her off that easily! 🤪

We love seeing our community come together to support organizations doing important work for our neighbors. Thank you to everyone who helped make the FOX 5K a success!

Now excuse Ms. Susan while she tries to remember how walking is supposed to work. 😂

❤️ Thankful for Zion Baptist Church! ❤️

We are so grateful for the wonderful group from Zion Baptist Church who came out to serve at HCCO!

From helping our families shop in the pantry to simply being present and offering a smile, conversation, and encouragement, their volunteers brought so much warmth to the day. ❤️

We are especially thankful for groups who understand that serving is about more than putting food in a bag. It's about people, relationships, dignity, and showing the love of Christ.

Thank you, Zion Baptist, for giving your time, sharing your hearts, and being part of the HCCO family. We are blessed to have you serve alongside us! 🙏❤️
