💛 Meet the Staff: Jair Rodriguez 💛

Jair has been serving as our Summerhill Center Director for over a year now, bringing a heart for people and a passion for Jesus to everything he does.

Born and raised in Las Vegas, Jair is committed to growing daily spiritually, emotionally, and mentally as he follows Christ. He loves serving others and is always willing to lend a helping hand wherever it's needed. At his church, he serves on the sound production and videography teams, using his gifts to support ministry and worship.

When he's not at the Center, you'll often find him enjoying God's creation — taking walks in nature, cloud gazing, or watching the sunrise and sunset. 🌅

Jair's desire is simple: to love God, love people, and help students discover the purpose and hope found in Christ. We're grateful to have him serving the kids and families of Summerhill each day. 🙌💛

📚🎉 Reading Results Are In! 🎉📚

As we wrap up another school year, we're celebrating what God has done through the hard work of our students, staff, volunteers, and families.

This year:
📖 93% of our K–5th grade students increased by at least one grade reading level
📈 Students reading at grade level grew from 35% at the beginning of the year to 70% by year-end

These numbers represent more than academic growth. They represent students gaining confidence, discovering they can succeed, and opening doors to future opportunities.

Reading proficiency is one of the strongest indicators of future academic success, which is why we are committed to helping every child reach grade-level reading by 5th grade. While there is still work to do, we're celebrating the progress that has been made and the lives being changed along the way.

🧹💛 Thank You, ICLV! 💛🧹

We want to give a huge thank you to ICLV for coming out and serving at our Henderson Learning Center this past week!

Their team spent time deep cleaning, organizing, and preparing the Center for our upcoming Summer Program. 🙌 From top to bottom, they helped create a welcoming space where students can learn, grow, and thrive this summer.

Acts of service like this may happen behind the scenes, but they make a tremendous difference. Because of volunteers like these, our staff can focus on what matters most — investing in kids and families.

We are so grateful for church partners who don't just support the mission, but roll up their sleeves and serve alongside us. Thank you, ICLV, for helping us get ready to impact another generation of students this summer! ☀️📚💛

💛🏔️ Investing in Our Team to Better Serve Our Communities 🏔️💛

Over the last two days, our Club Christ staff gathered for our annual staff retreat — a time to grow, connect, celebrate, and prepare for the future together.

We kicked things off with leadership development sessions led by Dan Perryman of Focus Consulting, exploring topics like the Arenas of Life and other tools to help us grow both personally and professionally. We also had some fun together at Atomic Golf and took in the incredible views from the High Roller, creating memories and strengthening relationships as a team. 🎯🎡

On day two, we headed to Mount Charleston to focus on what matters most — our mission, vision, values, and the future of Club Christ. Together, we began laying the groundwork for our next 5-year strategic plan, dreaming about how we can continue reaching more kids, strengthening communities, and sharing the gospel of Jesus throughout Las Vegas.

At Club Christ, we believe healthy organizations start with healthy teams. Taking time to invest in our staff strengthens our culture, aligns us around our mission, and ensures we are equipped to serve kids and families with excellence for years to come.

☀️📚 Summer Program Starts Soon! 📚☀️

Starting June 22nd and into July, Club Christ will kick off our 5-week Summer Program across our Learning Centers! Students will enjoy fun games, interactive Bible lessons, our proven reading program, and math enrichment designed to keep them learning, growing, and engaged throughout the summer.

Summer learning matters. Many students lose academic ground during the summer months, especially in reading and math. Our goal is to help students stay on track academically while creating a safe, encouraging environment where they can build friendships, grow in confidence, and learn about Jesus. 💛

🙌 We Need Volunteers!

This is a great opportunity for small groups, youth groups, young adult groups, families, and individuals to make a difference right here in Las Vegas.

Available weeks:
📅 June 21–24
📅 June 28–July 1
📅 July 6–8
📅 July 12–16

You can:
✅ Serve one full week (Monday–Thursday, just 2 hours per day)
✅ Commit only 8 hours for the entire week
✅ Or choose a single day and serve for 2 hours

Think of it as a mini mission trip in your own community — investing in kids, building relationships, and helping students thrive academically, socially, and spiritually.

📚🎉 Hard Work Pays Off! 🎉📚

This past Friday, students from all of our Learning Centers who achieved their Reading Eggs goals throughout the school year got to celebrate with a special trip to Chuck E. Cheese! 🍕🎮🙌

These students earned their spot through months of dedication, completing lesson after lesson and putting in the hard work needed to grow as readers. Their commitment to learning paid off, and we loved celebrating their accomplishments together!

At Club Christ, we believe it's important to recognize and reward perseverance. Reading proficiency opens doors to future success, and every lesson completed is another step toward confidence in the classroom and beyond.

Fresh paint, renewed space, and a team excited for what’s ahead. 🎨🙌

Yesterday, the staff spent the day painting the Ferrell Learning Center as we prepare for Summer Program and the students who will walk through these doors in just a few weeks. We are so grateful to Canyon Ridge Christian Church for sponsoring the painting supplies and helping make this possible.

Because of generous community partners, our kids will return to a refreshed environment where they can learn, grow, build relationships, and have fun this summer. We can’t wait to see their reactions when they walk into the center for the first time. 💙☀️

🏟️💛 Club Christ is honored to be part of Allegiant Stadium’s NPO Partnership Program, where selected nonprofits have the opportunity to serve at concession stands during major events — with a percentage of proceeds going directly back to their organization.

What makes this even more meaningful is that our own staff has chosen to volunteer their time to work these events because they believe so deeply in the mission of Club Christ and the kids we serve. 🙌

This past Saturday, our team kicked things off serving at the BTS concert, and we’ll also be serving at:

🏈 Raiders Home Opener — September

Every event helps support the tutoring, mentoring, leadership development, and Bible study happening weekly at our Learning Centers.

🎓💛 Today, our entire Club Christ staff team had the opportunity to show up for our 5th grade students at their elementary school graduation ceremonies! 🙌

We cheered them on, celebrated their accomplishments, and reminded them just how proud we are of how far they’ve come.

Promoting from 5th grade is such an important milestone — it marks the end of one chapter and the beginning of a new season as they prepare for middle school. For many of our students, having consistent adults show up and celebrate these moments matters more than words can express.

At Club Christ, we believe in walking alongside students not just academically, but through every season of growth and development. Today was a reminder to our students that they are seen, supported, and deeply valued. 💛

🎤💛 Today, our Executive Director Joshua and Donor Relations Coordinator Dr. Sam Serio had the opportunity to represent Club Christ as one of 12 organizations selected to compete in the American Fundraising Professionals Mission Pitch Competition.

We had 5 minutes to share the heart, vision, and mission of Club Christ — and while we didn’t take home the top prize, it was an incredibly valuable learning experience and a great opportunity to connect with others who care deeply about making a difference in our community.

We’re grateful for every opportunity to share what God is doing through Club Christ and to advocate for the kids and families we serve each day. 🙌💛
