While Henderson Retired Teachers may be expecting to meet tomorrow (Friday, September 4th) but we are NOT meeting then. We postponed for Labor Day Holiday So we are meeting next Friday, September 11th at The Depot at 101 N Water Street. Breakfast at 9:30 (please RSVP right away in email for accurate food preparation) meeting at 10! Come early to find parking. There is a tennis tournament that day so spots at courts and Depot may be scarce. Carpool and bring a friend! Should be plenty of street parking on 1st Street and Water Street by the park as most businesses are not open at that time. Please bring school supplies or FRC type supplies for us to give to South Heights Family Resource Center!

Last summer, HCRTA spent a little over $300 in envelopes and stamps to mail out reminder letters for our local group. We would love to use that money to help support a local non-profit instead.
Please help us in these efforts by mailing your $10 annual renewal to:

Barbara Barr

Please make check payable to HCRTA and enclose a self addressed stamped envelope if you wish to receive a membership card.

Best speaker EVER! Deputy Police Chief Bob Shoultz shared handouts and experience and knowledge with retired teachers today! What a valuable use of time! Our teachers were riveted!

Recently, Deputy Police Chief Bob Shoultz had the privilege of speaking with the HCRTA Henderson County Retired Teachers

Deputy Chief Shoultz shared his knowledge and extensive experience regarding fraud, modern scams, and the specific trends our department is currently seeing right here in our community. Our retired educators have spent their careers protecting and guiding our youth, and we want to ensure they have the tools and information necessary to protect themselves and their loved ones from scammers.

Thank you to the HCRTA for having us and for staying proactive in keeping Henderson safe!
