And so my journey with the Miss America Organization has come to an end. When I think about the shy girl who asked her parents 10 years ago if she could compete in a pageant, I feel an huge sense of pride in what I’ve accomplished and in the woman I’ve become. Every title I’ve had the privilege to hold has helped shape me into who I am. This program also afforded me the chance to graduate with my Associate’s and Bachelor’s degree debt free, for which I will always be grateful.
I’ve learned it isn’t what we think or say that defines us, but what we do. Traveling over 3,000 miles and 73 appearances representing Henderson, I hope you’ve all seen the love and pride I’ve had for my hometown this year. To the people and businesses of Henderson, I want to thank those of you who have supported me through my journey. I hope I met your expectations in a way that makes you proud. As I take my crown off for the last time, I want to thank you all for a year that started out as a dream, became a reality and now becomes a cherished memory.
I’m forever proud to be, Evan O’Geary, Miss Henderson 2025
