Race Rules & Code of Conduct
All athletes must wear official race bib prominently and visibly on the front his or her person, on the outside layer of clothing at all times. Do not block the bib in any way as you cross the finish line, as this can block the radio frequency signal.
Athletes must begin at the proper gun time (5K registrants must start with 5K and 10K must start with 10K). Failure to do so may result in disqualification.
Athletes must stay on course at all times. Signage will be posted and there will be volunteers present on course. However, signs can be vandalized and volunteers may occasionally fail to appear on race day. Therefore, it is the athleteβs responsibility to familiarize his or herself with the course ahead of time and take advantage of the online maps provided on race day, if necessary.
Do not run/walk more than 2 abreast (side-by-side) as this blocks the path for others to safely pass. Do not make abrubt stops as this can cause a collision with those behind you. If you need to stop, please step off to the side, away from participant traffic. Run against vehicle traffic when sidewalks are unavailable. Be mindful of vehicles on the roadways and take evasive action when necessary. This course is marked and staffed, but is not closed to motor vehicles.
All athletes on course must be registered through the official website - no exceptions. NO BANDITS! If you are caught banditing, you may be asked to leave and prohibited from entering the race in the future.
Switching or selling your bib is prohibited outside of the official transfer method. Participants may self-transfer to another athlete by following these instructions: https://help.runsignup.com/support/solutions/articles/17000062921-transfer-to-another-runner.
All race / egg hunt attendees are expected to display attitudes and behaviors appropritate for the fun, family-friendly Easter celebration that the Resurrection Run is! Cursing, blatant disrespect, and generally rude behavior towards anyone, including but not limited to: other participants, volunteers, race staff, sponsors, timers, or any other party present, will not be tolerated. In the event that the issue becomes excessive, attendees may be asked to leave the premisis and not invited back in coming years. Remember that this is a community event ran by volunteers who are donating their time and doing their best. Thank you in advance for your compliance.
