NO BURN PERMITS UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE!!!

Henderson Fire and Rescue have made the decision to maintain the burn ban at this time, despite the much-needed rainfall, as it is not sufficient to warrant lifting the restriction. No burn permits will be issued, and the use of burn barrels and fire pits remains prohibited. Citations will continue to be written for unauthorized burning. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in preventing wildfires as we await further rainfall. Stay safe.

Please follow all posted speed limits. Gravel roads are 50mph and paved county roads are 55mph, unless otherwise posted. Have a great day, enjoy the wind and drive safe! Also be mindful that farmers are going to be in the field, make sure you're showing down at intersections!!! Please be safe!!!!

A reminder that we are still in a burn ban per the governor of Nebraska until April 10th. Regardless of how much rain we receive, fire chiefs are NOT allowed to issue permits until the governor lifts the ban.

Even if the ban is lifted, that is not a guarantee that permits will automatically be issued.

Any updates to this ban will be posted on this page. Until you see updates here, absolutely no burning is allowed.
