🩷🐾 Our cofounder Kenni Peterson Burdette not only volunteers weekly at the City of Henderson Animal Protection Services she also takes shelter dogs on field trips to run errands and go back to work with her at the office. No field trip would be complete without toys and yummy treats and snacks. After spending a day away from the stressful shelter environment and soaking up lots of love and attention, the dogs go back into their kennels a little less stressed and a lot more loved. This beautiful girl Bella is now in a foster to adopt home, send out all the positive wishes that this good girl gets officially adopted soon.

If you are in the Henderson area or don’t mind making the drive to the Henderson animal shelter, head down there during business hours and ask to take a dog on a field trip. It’s so beneficial to them but so fulfilling for you. It could be something quick like a drive-through for a treat, running errands or heading to the park. No matter what you do, they will appreciate it.

❤️🐾 What an undertaking!! Our foundation was able to be part of this amazing project for Hearts Alive Village Las Vegas to provide shade for the dogs in their care while outside exercising.

Hearts Alive Village was generously donated a long in coming metal structure and canopy to add more needed coverage to their existing dog exercise yards.

Being a part of an industry that lives and breathes on the generous donations received, we fully understand, are empathetic to, and want nothing more than to roll up our community sleeves to help this amazing rescue accomplish this amazing and overwhelming feat!

HAV’s donors procured the metal structure.
Martin Harris, a very generous community leader, donated time, materials, and supervision of the concrete footings that would hold the structure in place.
FOHAS followed up with the coordination installation of the metal structure.

Collectively several groups came together to give their time, resources, and expertise to this amazing rescue!

Hearts Alive Village is a pillar in animal rescue and advocacy!
Martin Harris is a pillar in community support!
FOHAS is both honored and proud to walk alongside you all!

🥺🌈🐾 Our foundation was able to donate $300 to after we heard about the passing of Dustin. This amazing rescue did everything in their power to save him. Despite all their efforts, he sadly passed away. The rescue was left with a hefty vet bill and we knew we had to help.

🫶🏼 We would like to take a moment to give a special shout out to & for their generous donations of $500 from Smitty and delicious goodies for staff and volunteers from Jeff.

Jeff has been a supporter of our foundation since day one. Not only does he regularly donate and attend our events.. he also advocates for the work we do and the animals in need. When won at a poker event, he instantly gave a $500 donation from his winnings.

We are truly grateful for both of you incredible, generous men.

🌈🥺🐾 ALL SENIOR DOG ADOPTION FEES ARE SPONSORED IN TILLY’S MEMORY FOR THE MONTH OF AUGUST AT City of Henderson Animal Protection Services

The Geertsen family reached out to FOHAS to make a donation in Tilly’s memory.. we couldn’t think of a better way to put that money to use than to help all the senior dogs at the Henderson Animal Shelter find their loving forever homes just like Tilly did.

All senior dogs, seven years or older have sponsored fees for the month of August. There’s no better time than now to give a loving, deserving senior dog a chance at a happily ever after.

Tilly was beautiful, silly and full of life and love. She brought so much happiness to her family. Help us honor Tilly by adopting a senior. If you can’t adopt, then please hit the share button and spread the word. Let’s get all of the seniors out of the shelter this month.

❤️ Our foundation offered a $500 donation match.. we were able to raise $240… with our match, we were able to donate $480 to Hearts Alive Village Las Vegas towards the medical bills for Treasure. Our team also stopped by their facility to visit with this amazing pup who is in great spirits and on the road to recovery.

💔🥺 Puppy dumped next to Henderson dumpster vet hospital. Two broken legs, previously broken jaw that has already started healing and rocks in his stomachs.. and he’s only four months old. His name is Treasure and he is being treated by an amazing rescue. We would love to help Hearts Alive Village Las Vegas with his high medical bills.. our foundation is offering a $500 donation match.
