A strong logging industry needs a strong voice, and the Carolina Loggers Association works every day to make sure North Carolina’s loggers have one.

We’re proud to recognize the Carolina Loggers Association (CLA) as a Sons of Liberty Sponsor of the 2026 American Loggers Council Annual Conference!

CLA brings together logging companies, truckers, suppliers, regional associations, and industry partners to strengthen North Carolina’s wood products industry. From safety education and training to legislative advocacy, regulatory support, and industry partnerships, the association focuses on the real-world issues that affect logging businesses and the people behind them.

That representation extends beyond the state level, too. Through its affiliation with the American Loggers Council, CLA helps connect the concerns of North Carolina loggers with the larger national conversation on policies and regulations affecting professional timber harvesters and haulers.

We’re grateful to the Carolina Loggers Association for its Sons of Liberty sponsorship and for the work it does year-round to keep loggers informed, connected, represented, and safe.

Join CLA and logging professionals from across the country September 28–October 1 in Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia, for the 2026 American Loggers Council Annual Conference — “250 Years of Logging: Timber • Tradition • Tomorrow.”

WHEELS ON PAVEMENT

FMIC says it simply: Wheels on the pavement. You don’t need stitches; keep between the ditches!

A moment of inattention, a soft shoulder, or getting a little too close to the edge can turn a normal day into a serious accident. Stay focused, give yourself room, and keep those wheels where they belong.

And while we’re looking out for each other, if you know a logger, trucking company, equipment dealer, supplier, or other industry partner who should be a member of the Carolina Loggers Association, please let them know.

Stronger Together. Safer Together.

As Chris with Enviva said, he wanted to be between the brains of the CLA. That brain power might be a bit heavier on Joanne R Reese side because she’s a huge part of how the CLA functions.

SPEED A LITTLE. LOSE A LOT.

When you’re hauling a loaded truck, a few extra miles per hour can make a big difference.

Give yourself room. Watch the traffic around you. And look out for the other drivers on the road, especially the folks you work beside every day.

Getting there a few minutes earlier isn’t worth the risk.

Slow down. Give space. Watch out for each other.
