Today at Rotary we had the honor of welcoming Rocky Adkins, Senior Advisor to Governor Beshear as our guest! His update was followed by one of our favorite programs with a 10 year standing- The Kentucky Derby by Tim Grimm. He, as always, gives a rich narrative to the upcoming Derby weekend!

Today the Henderson Rotary Club was excited to award 27 Grants to our community local non-profits! Thanks to our annual Trivia night bringing in $19,000, we were able to turn around and put that money right back into grants that support projects ranging from youth services to food security! Thank you to our non-profits and Rotarians for your support and service!

Rotary Trivia Night was one for the record books as we raised nearly $30,000 to support scholarships and community grants right here in our community. From a record-breaking dessert auction to trivia, a bourbon auction, and plenty of laughs, it was an evening full of fun for a great cause.

A very special thank you to the Men’s Club at Holy Name for their dedication year after year — from helping set up, to preparing and serving dinner, to staying late for cleanup. We truly couldn’t do it without you!

We’d also like to thank Abba Promotions for donating their services to print the trivia questions for the event, and Herron Auction & Realty for donating their auction services, helping us raise almost $10,000 through the bourbon and dessert auctions alone.

Today's speaker was Courtney Givens, the Coordinator for the Financial Literacy Program at Henderson County Schools. We learned about the impact and success of the Financial Literacy courses offered at the school. In addition, our Rotarians also received a great lesson in personal finances and prioritizing financial goals!

We had a great meeting today at the Henderson Rotary Club!

Isaiah with the Audubon Kids Zone joined us to talk about their teen program and the impact it’s having on local youth by getting them involved, engaged, and learning through hands-on experiences.

We also took a moment to celebrate one of our own! Rotarian Holli Blanford was presented with a “Future Rotarian” onesie as we celebrate her and her growing family. We can’t wait to welcome the newest future member of Rotary!

Another great meeting filled with fellowship and community.
