The Henderson Angels will gather at Chicken N Pickle for an afternoon of pickleball, community, and remembrance as we celebrate the life of our friend Anthony “Tony” Smith.

Tony was someone special our outreach team always looked forward to visiting. We got to know him through the relationships at the heart of our work, and after losing him this summer, we wanted this year’s tournament to be about more than pickleball.

Tony’s family will join us for this tribute as we celebrate his life and support the continued work of Henderson Angels throughout our community.

Five years and we're just getting started. What a special day for The Angel Charitable Corporation.

Thank you to everyone who joined us at the HCC Launch Pad to celebrate ACC's 5-Year Anniversary and mark the occasion with an official ribbon-cutting.

Five years ago, ACC began with a belief that still guides us today: We all have the ability to be angels for others.

Since then, that belief has grown into a family of charitable programs, volunteers, donors, community partners and leaders working together to serve children, families of fallen first responders, animals, and people experiencing homelessness.

This event gave us an opportunity to celebrate how far we've come, welcome our new Board of Directors, and recognize the people who have helped build ACC along the way.

But this ribbon wasn't a finish line. It marked the beginning of our next chapter.

As ACC enters its next five years, we're focused on strengthening the charitable programs we support, building new community partnerships, expanding our capacity, and creating an even stronger foundation for people who want to turn compassion into action.

To every Angel who has volunteered, donated, partnered, served, encouraged, shared, or simply believed in this organization: thank you for being part of our first five years.

Now let's build the next five together, strengthening communities, charities, and public trust.

Swing For Their Kids is incredibly grateful to Pat Ledbetter of Desert West for his continued generosity and for graciously stepping up as a $10,000 Tournament Sponsor for this year's tournament!

But Pat's commitment to these families goes far beyond writing a check.

For five years, Pat has supported Swing For Their Kids, and every Christmas Eve, he gives something even more valuable: his time and his heart.

As a retired Metro Police Officer, Pat understands what these families have sacrificed. On Christmas Eve, while most of us are home with our families, Pat climbs aboard the Desert West truck loaded with Christmas presents and helps deliver those gifts to the children of fallen Nevada law enforcement officers.

Some of the most meaningful deliveries happen late at night, when the little ones are already asleep. Pat and the officers quietly bring the presents inside, knowing that when those children wake up on Christmas morning, they will know their families have not been forgotten.
