Baskett Community Fire Department The Baskett Community Volunteer Fire Department serving Henderson County since 1962. If you have any emergency please call 911. This page is not monitored 24/7.

The Baskett Community Fire Department is a all volunteer Fire Department that operates out of 2 stations located in North East Henderson County Kentucky. Our fire protection district covers approximately 36 square miles. We respond to calls with 2 Engines, One Tanker and a Squad. Our district consist primarily of residential but with some commercial structures, and agriculture. We also have two major highways that run thru our protection area. We have a roster of 15 men and women trained in medical and fire suppression.

Stop using your device right away if the battery smells strange, is warm to the touch, makes popping noises, changes in shape or color, or if you see smoke. If it is safe, move the device away from anything that can catch fire. A damaged battery can overheat and start a fire.

Fire Prevention Week starts today and runs thru the 10th. This year's message is "Charge into Fire Safety" lithium-ion batteries are everywhere now a days and they must be handled safely especially while charging them.
