It is my great honor to introduce the distinguishing sub-team names within the Hofstra Pride Billiards Team. In an effort to incorporate our past into our present, we have decided that we would name our sub-teams after the most influential players that have moved on from HBO. With that we are proud to announce the names.

Team Fecteau, for Chris Fecteau, former team captain and inspiring pool player who envisioned the potential for Hofstra’s Pool team and brought us together with Ed Stein and the APA.

Team Cruchaga, for Jeredy Cruchaga, former president and legendary pool player who developed HBO into a club beaming with potential and brought us together to launch it to new levels.

Great Event Tonight! Thank you to everyone who participated.

Our event winner was Kendall Gibson! Congrats to his performance at our first event.

Overall, I am pleased to say our event was a success. It was awesome to see so many players and new faces. Also, the implementation of the new format may have been a little confusing for us all, but it helped put so many players on the tables in relatively a short time-frame. To anyone that wished they got more playing time: ask Hofstra for more tables!

Our next event will likely be in 3 weeks (as we don't want to conflict with Fall Festival weekend). It will likely be a tournament with an entry fee, but also of course a tangible prize.

Our first event is tonight!

Come over to HofstraUSA for our first tournament.

I want all participants to be there by 5:30p so that we can set up the correct format. Come early to get some practice!

First place is guaranteed* an spot on Hofstra's APA team!

*Graduates are not eligible to win the prize, but still come and compete. There is a Graduate APA team looking for players.

We are planning to have an open tournament this Friday. This is our club's first meeting.

There will be no entry fee, and the first prize is a guaranteed spot* on our APA team!

Even if you don't finish first, you have a chance to make the team as we are looking for committed and talented players at every level of play.

Join us at HofstraUSA Friday. Tournament will start 5:30pm - 6:30pm.

*Graduate students are not eligible for the first prize. Though you are free to participate and urged to join the APA (we are looking to form a graduate APA team).

Congratulations to Shaun Foster, the winner of the Premiere 9-Ball Tournament!!
We'll be putting on another 8-Ball Tournament in 3 weeks. March 15th, Same time at HofstraUSA. Hope to see everyone again, with some new players, so spread the word and start practicing!
