Good morning El Elyon Christian School Supporters,

I'm writing this morning to thank all of you for your support from the beginning when we started and welcomed our first-grade class on September 17, 2018. Through God's grace and your help, the school is expanding. We're about to welcome our 6th-graders in a few weeks, and our school is now accredited by the Department of Education in Haiti. Let me give you an update on the school's current situation. When we first started, we were able to provide the students with uniforms, school supplies, books, and one hot meal per day. Unfortunately, due to a decrease in donations and an increase in student population, we had to stop providing uniforms and school supplies over the last couple of years, and this past year we could only afford to feed the children a couple of times per week. We now have six classes, more students, and more staff to support the students, and we need more financial support to continue this mission.

About Us

Reverend Doctor Wilson and Esther Albert have been consistently going to mission trips to Haiti since July 2014. Through these trips, they've seen immense tragedy – starving children, families with no means to feed their families, and children begging for jobs so that they can have money to get something to eat. After several trips to Haiti, Pastor Wilson and Esther Albert decided that it wasn't enough to go once or twice a year; they put together a committee and founded The Foundation of El Elyon in April 2018. The goal of this Charity is to create an outreach ministry that will impact the lives of many children in Lascahobas, Quimpe, Haiti.

The Foundation of El Elyon opened a school in the impoverished area of Lascahobas, Quimpe, Haiti, on September 17, 2018, with 30 first graders ranging from ages 5 1/2 to 11 years of age. On September 2, 2019, El Elyon Christian school welcomed an additional 30 students as we add a second-grade class. We hope to continue to grow until the school reaches high school. The students who attend the school are on a full scholarship and are provided with uniforms, school supplies, books, and one hot meal per day free of charge. Our goal is to end hunger and the cycle of poverty through educational opportunities.
