Library Friends Hempstead will meet Thursday, May 21st at 9:30 AM at the Hempstead Library to plan upcoming events.

SUMMER SCHEDULE
Friends will be distributing snacks to kids during the summer reading kickoff on June 10th at 1 PM in the Hempstead Library. All members are invited to assist. There will be no regular meetings in June or July.

SPRING SILENT AUCTION

Tuesday is the final day for bids in the library meeting room on items including a large wine rack, framed Texas A&M 12th Man print, Houston Texans items, gift baskets, puzzles and more. The auction ends at 6 PM on March 17th, with a reception featuring light refreshments at 5 PM for last-minute bidders. All proceeds benefit the library’s summer reading program. Thank you to all our donors and buyers for your generosity!

Due to this event, there will be no regular monthly meeting in March.

SPRING SILENT AUCTION

Library Friends are seeking donations for our spring silent auction. Items can be dropped off at the Hempstead Library by Tuesday March 3rd.

Bidding starts Wednesday March 4th at 9 AM in the library meeting room on items including a large wine rack, framed 12th Man print, Houston Texans gift baskets, puzzles and more.

The auction ends on Tuesday, March 17th at 6 PM, with a reception featuring light refreshments at 5 PM for last-minute bidders. All proceeds benefit the library’s summer reading program. Thank you to all our donors and buyers for your generosity!

FEBRUARY MEETING
Library Friends Hempstead annual meeting and officer elections will be Thursday, February 19th at 9:30 AM at the Hempstead Library to plan our silent auction and elect officers for the coming year.

SILENT AUCTION DONATIONS WANTED
Donations of household goods, art, gift baskets and miscellaneous new and like-new items are requested for our March silent auction by March 2nd. The auction begins March 4th and concludes Tuesday, March 17th with a reception from 5-6 PM. All proceeds will benefit summer reading and other library programs.
