As a dedicated, fully volunteer-run nonprofit, we make equine interactions and the wellness they bring accessible and enjoyable for everyone in our community. With the help of our four senior therapy horses, we foster community connection and promote wellness through engaging and inclusive events. Our programs also aim to increase awareness of the human-animal bond, building empathy and care for animals. Join us in our mission to create a healthier, more connected community.

🌧️🐴 Rainy Day Lessons Hit a Little Different 🐴🌧️

A little rain definitely wasn’t going to stop our newest student from exploring T.H.E. Center today! 💛

Today was all about connection, curiosity and learning through doing. She explored our sensory garden 🌸, met members of our herd — big AND little 🐴 — and spent some very special time with our chickens. 🐔

She gathered fresh eggs and carefully washed them 🥚🧼 — a simple little ranch chore that teaches responsibility, gentleness and the importance of caring for the animals who give so much to us.

And can we talk about those SMILES?! 🥰

At T.H.E. Center, we believe lessons don't always have to follow a perfect plan. Sometimes we follow the student. We explore. We make choices. We try something new. And little by little, confidence and connections begin to grow. 🌱💜

Rainy day or not… there was plenty of sunshine in this lesson. 🌧️☀️🐴🐔

🐴🌻 Equine Foundations Training at T.H.E. Center 🌻🐴

Today was about so much more than learning how to work with horses. It was about building confidence, connection and the tools to make a difference. ❤️

One of my favorite things about volunteering at T.H.E. Center is that you don’t have to walk through our gates already knowing everything. You don’t need years of horse experience. You don’t have to have all the answers.

You just need the heart and the passion to make a difference. ❤️🐴

We will help with the rest.

Whether you choose to work with our horses, chickens, students, events, lessons or somewhere completely different on our team, we want our volunteers to feel prepared, supported and successful. We provide the training, tools and hands-on experience to help you find where YOU belong. 🌻

Today our Equine Foundations volunteers learned about horse behavior and body language, safe handling, leading, communication and—most importantly—how much we can learn when we slow down and listen to what our horses are telling us. 🐴💕

Because volunteering isn’t about already knowing how to do everything.

🐴✨ FACT FRIDAY! ✨🐴

Did you know that meaningful interactions with animals can help children practice important skills like **gentleness, patience, empathy, and confidence? 💛

Sometimes the biggest lessons happen in the smallest moments: like two little ones meeting Austin while their moms are right beside them, watching curiosity turn into connection. 🥹

At T.H.E. Center, we love creating opportunities for families to slow down, experience animals together, and make memories that feel a little different from the everyday rush.

And judging by Austin’s face…we think he was pretty curious about his new tiny friends too. 😂🐴

🎃🧡 A little Halloween fun for a GREAT cause! 🧡🎃

Our wonderful friends at the Hemet Woman’s Club are hosting a Halloween Bunco fundraiser, with proceeds benefiting T.H.E. Center! 🐴🧡

We are so incredibly grateful for their continued support. CFWC-Hemet Womans Club is made up of an amazing group of ladies who do so much good throughout our community, and they have been such wonderful friends and supporters of our ranch.

So if you’re looking for a fun afternoon out, this is the perfect chance to enjoy Bunco, raffles, prizes, snacks, fellowship and a little Halloween fun while supporting both an incredible local organization and T.H.E. Center’s therapy animals and programs. 💛

Our September Coffee with Horses: Midweek Mingle is coming up, and we’d love to spend the morning with you at the ranch!

Our chickens may be some of the smallest residents at T.H.E. Center, but around here they are absolute ROCKSTARS of the ranch! 🤩🎸🐓

They bring so much joy to our visitors, families, and volunteers, and we want to make sure we’re giving our feathered friends the happiest, healthiest, and most comfortable life possible. 💛

💕🐴 Mommy & Me Equine Encounters 🐴💕

There is something pretty special about watching a mom and child experience our horses together. ❤️

Yesterday morning wasn’t just about brushing a horse or meeting a mini. It was about little hands reaching out while Mom was right there beside them. Trying something new together. Sharing smiles, encouragement, curiosity and those little moments of “Look Mom!” 🥰

Our horses have such a beautiful way of slowing everything down. For a little while there are no distractions and nowhere else to be — just Mom, child and horse connecting in the moment. 🐴💚

And sometimes those simple moments together become the very best memories. ❤️

Today’s tip: Don’t forget to make room for a little silliness. 😂💛

Life gets busy, schedules get packed, and sometimes the best thing we can do for ourselves is laugh, play, and enjoy the moment.

Our amazing volunteer, Evalina, clearly understood the assignment. 🤣🐴

At T.H.E. Center, wellness isn’t always quiet moments and deep breaths...sometimes it looks like community, connection... AND someone showing up in an inflatable horse costume just because it makes people smile. 💛

✨ Monday Motivation — Evening Edition ✨

Before Monday comes to a close, Sterling wanted to leave us with a little reminder. 🐴💛

Sometimes being brave doesn’t mean feeling completely fearless. Sometimes it means taking one small step forward, getting a little closer, and choosing to trust.

Our sweet mini girl Sterling showed us exactly that as she bravely greeted a family at the ranch. 🥹

So if today asked you to step outside your comfort zone (even just a little) give yourself credit. Growth often happens in those tiny, courageous moments. 🌱

Here’s to ending Monday feeling proud of the small steps we took today and carrying that courage with us into the rest of the week. 💛🐴
