Helvetia Restoration and Development Organization We support and develop the educational, social, historical, archival, and economic vibrancy of Helvetia, WV and surrounding areas.

We host a handful of community events each year including Fasnacht, Swiss National Holiday, and Helvetia Day. The objectives and purposes of the Helvetia Restoration and Development Organization shall be:
1. to promote the educational, social, historical and economic well-being of said village of Helvetia
2. to maintain historical buildings and promote Swiss-American restoration and beautification of Helvetia and the immediate surrounding area of Randolph County
3. to create, retain and promote Swiss-American culture and heritage in Helvetia
4. to collect and archive historical documents and photographs of Helvetia and the immediate surrounding area of Randolph County

Senator Robbie Morris, Delegate Jonathan Kyle and I were recently able to secure funding for the Helvetia Restoration and Development Organization (HRDO) through Local Economic Development Assistance (LEDA) funds. The HRDO along with the Helvetia Fair Association are currently working on a project to build a permanent pavilion on the stage in ‘the Meadow’ at Helvetia.
This small community of Swiss Heritage has several events yearly which draws in crowds not only from surrounding communities but from all over the US and some foreign countries. Among the events are Fasnacht, the Helvetia Fair, Follow Your Bliss Festival, Celebrations of National Swiss Heritage, a Community W**e Tasting gathering, old fashion square dances, etc. The main attraction at many of these events are the famous Swiss Folk Dancers.
This small but mighty community is just one of the many wonderful places to visit and live in our great state of WV.

A big THANK YOU to Jonathan Kyle, Bill Hamilton and Robbie Morris for securing funds and contributing to our Helvetia Pavilion Project! Every donation gets us closer to a beautiful structure that will accommodate more tourists in our community and Randolph County!

The plan for our pavilion project is coming along nicely!!!! Thank you to everyone who has already donated to this community project! The Fair Association and the HRDO are in the process of putting final details together! We are still a little short of funding and would like to give everyone another opportunity to be a part of improving our community for future generations. Below is information on how you can help.
