"Preserving The Past for Our Future Generation"

As fair president I would like to thank everyone who participated in the 2026 Helvetia Community Fair!! It was a SUCCESS!!!

Our Fair Directors are dedicated to bringing our ancestor’s traditions alive through our younger generation. From the family floats, to the family musicians, to the folk dancing, to the next generation of leaders, we strive to honor our heritage. The fair has become a fun time for families to gather, compete and create memories!! This year’s success was due to all the volunteers, supporters, visitors and especially the fair directors who worked endlessly for a great weekend!! The beautiful weather that God blessed us with is also worth noting!!!
THANK YOU! THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!!

President

At the Morgan home on Friday evening before the fair the grandkids get a "Talerschwingen (often translated as "Taler swinging" or "coin rolling") lesson from grandpa Russell. The next generation!!!! They all did great!!! Many families in our area are teaching their kids and grandkids the value of our Swiss Roots!

A large coin—traditionally a Swiss silver five-franc piece is thrown gently into a cone-shaped, earthenware clay milk bowl to create distinct musical notes (often "B", "F-sharp", and "F").
