"The Activity and Movement
This farmette has been known as Morning Star for several decades. The Creator, Curator, and Holder of the property died. Joris Rosse was an artist, woodsmith, potter, healer, and social activist. Together, with Joris, we built an intentional community (shared meals, common spaces, cooperative budgeting and work projects, drum circles) that practices permaculture, artistry of all kinds, personal development, and spiritual awakening.
With your help, we can continue these practices and expand: food production, community events, skill shares, workshops, healing opportunities, and space-making for more community members or co-artisans. With your help, we can also secure this space as an open reserve or trust so it continues to be a sanctuary and creative cove for all - plants, animals, and people.
The world needs spaces like this, especially right now - space to gather, share, cooperate, learn cooperation, skill-up, create, relax and sink into a loving embrace or connection surrounded by the magic of nature and not all the way out in the hills! We are 5 minutes from downtown Hellertown and 10 minutes from Bethlehem.
Our Community Family - Meet Some of Us Here
Our community family holds a unique safe space for the broader community where love, embrace, and acceptance is the epicenter.
Suzie is our Mama and Joris' wife - she does Qi-Gong and helps us all find our way back inside to inner peace when the world spins us too far out.
Steve is our Master Drummer, wild food foraging expert, permaculturist - he does wild food walks, permaculture workshops, energy healing circles, emotional release healing, sustainability research, and macrobiotic pot-lucks.
Charlie is our Jack of All Trades and Master of Many too! He does all of the property maintenance and keeps us on our toes with his old school wise cracks! He is also a chainsaw artist and woodsmith.
Michael is our gentle intuitive who does animal therapy with Sky, his Siberian husky. He is ready to lend a helping hand and heart to anyone who expresses a desire to learn and grow.
Nick is our Project Manager Man! He does gardening, permaculture skill shares, event planning, and manages the movements of large community-wide projects on the property.
Naomi is our 8 year old! She does frog-friending and pond meditations.
And me, Christi, I'm the yurt mama. I hold space for people to sit in peace and magic with their inner being (in the yurt) to remember how beautiful and full of love they have always been. I walk with people through their hardest emotional experiences and offer a path to peace and joy on the other side.
Our community family extends far beyond those who live here and steward the space from week to week! There are many more who participate in each their unique way.
We are stewards. We are co-creators and space holders. This GoFundMe is an extension of that stewardship. A matching investor has arrived and we have less than 6 weeks to make a deal with the heirs of the property. That’s where you come in!
I'd love to hear from you! If you are interested in project-based investment, please reach out to discuss what that energy exchange looks like in your vision. If you are an interested artisan or creative looking for collaborative space, please leave us your contact info!
From our roots to yours, thank you!"
