Hanover Township holds an annual Flag Retirement Ceremony to as part of the 9/11 day of remembrance. The event is held at the Hanover Township Community Center located at 3660 Jacksonville Road, Bethlehem. All units are welcome to attend. Scouts are asked to wear Class A uniforms. Scouts will be assisting in properly folding flags for a retirement ceremony. The township provides burn barrels, and they are located on a platform created as an Eagle project. Scouts should arrive at 5 pm the ceremony begins at 5:30. The township normally provides some refreshments as well. This is a service opportunity and a way to remember those we lost on 9/11.
