We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization aimed at enriching lives through philosophy. A cornerstone of our practice is a solid belief in the value & relevance of philosophy & its ability to help people live healthier, happier & more deeply satisfying lives, encourage critical & creative thought, cultivate leadership & action, reconnect people with nature, and foster, strengthen & enrich communit
ies. We also think it's a truly fun, exhilarating & rewarding activity in itself & is not meant to be closed away in some book but, rather, to be lived. We offer three branches of public service: philosophical counseling, philosophical consulting & philosophy-based community events, including free guided philosophy walks on Merlin Nature Preserve (and other local areas), unique business programs that bring philosophy into the workplace, community roundtables/forums & socials, and philosophy workshops & retreats. Our areas of philosophical focus include: leadership & action, quality of life & happiness, loss, change & grief, death & dying, elder interests, and the environment (nature). We also have a free on-line resource center with access to relevant articles, videos, educational seminars, lectures, and tools all aimed at helping people in a variety of philosophy-related ways. Our philosophy-based services & activities are designed for businesses, children, adults and elders & are uniquely geared:
