Helena Community Gardens Helena Community Gardens builds gardens, provides the tools and knowledge to grow food, and increases access to healthy and affordable food.

Formerly known as the Growing Community Project, Helena Community Gardens was founded in 2007 through a partnership between WEEL (Working for Equality and Economic Liberation) and AERO (Alternative Energy Resources Organization). In 2011 we changed our name to Helena Community Gardens and established our own nonprofit organization. We are a group of dedicated volunteers managing 9 community gardens in the Helena area.

🌞Helena Community Gardens runs all 9 gardens on a budget under $30K. Plot fees cover only a third of our expenses, fundraising and donations cover the rest.

All of us at Helena Community Gardens are so excited to participate in next week! The event is on May 6th and 7th from 8:00pm-8:00pm. It is one of the most joyful events in Helena lifting up the best causes, celebrating our nonprofit community, and supporting all our neighbors! Please consider including HCG in your gift.
