To be registered in the Brazilian Mangalarga Marchador Association the horse must have registered parents, pass an inspection after the age of 3 by a Brazilian inspector. Bone lengths and angles are measured for conformation, the inspector watches the horse being ridden to see the gait, then the inspector rides the horse to test the gait. Other traits of the MM are beauty, intelligence and temperament! More inspection videos shared after this one.

Annual USMMA memberships are due for renewal for 2026. They renew throughout the year, but most are due in the first quarter. The process has begun, and members can expect to receive a notification via PayPal when they are coming due. Alternative payment methods include VENMO, ZELLE to [email protected], and our website (the link is below in FB comments. Your timely renewal will contribute to our continued growth and strength.
