Timberlake FFA is excited to introduce your new agricultural education teacher, Baylan Byrd!

My name is Baylan Byrd. I grew up in the small town of Alex, Oklahoma, where I have been heavily involved in agriculture since I can remember. I recently graduated from Northwestern Oklahoma State University with my Agricultural Education degree. I have a diverse background in all aspects of agriculture, from agricultural mechanics to livestock management. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family and doing anything outdoors, from fishing to farming. I am beyond grateful and excited for this next chapter in my journey. I look forward to meeting you all and getting started. Go Tigers!!!

The 100th State FFA Convention has come to a close! Throughout the year, these students earned points by attending various events, and State Convention served as their reward trip.

On Monday, we traveled to Tulsa, where we spent time at the zoo, enjoyed dinner at Ted’s Café Escondido, and had fun bowling and playing laser tag.

The next two days were filled with convention sessions, leadership workshops, business sessions, and a concert. We are incredibly proud of our students and all they accomplished this week. We’re now looking forward to our final event of the year on Tuesday, our FFA banquet!
