From the groomers desk: 3-16-26 Well my fellow infidels it was a tough go yesterday. The odometer only showed 50 miles but I think we did about 60. Going around Rocker Peak the snow was really deep. It was two steps forward one step back, go 20 feet, back up 20, go 20 more feet, back up 20. It wasn't like that all day but probably for a couple of hours or so off and on it was. Knowing as soon as we got to the top it was 5 miles of floating through the powder all the way down the other side. Would have been a lot rougher if I didn't have three sleds in front of me knocking a lot of it down so I could get better traction. Great big thanks to Daryl, Jody, and Ash. 👍🏻👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Thank you guys sooo much for coming out and helping yesterday.
We went up Minnehaha then over to basin creek, to cataract Creek, down to and up uncle Sam up to Crystal Park around Rocker peak down to Jack Creek then up to Buckeye Meadows and back to the truck. on the map that is junction J to K to Q to R, then trails five or six to junction S then trails five or six back. The snow up there is going to be around for quite a while. Accessing it will be the hard part. Right now Minnehaha is OK, but since staying frosty is getting harder and harder to do. later on going up Basin Creek to Jack Creek will be best.

From the groomers desk: Yes my fellow infidels it may be hard to believe but we've already started grooming this year. You're correct the date is 15th of March 2026. Latest first groom ever. We went up to frontier town and groomed the skinny skiers helped them out a little bit. When they get a big dump like this it's a little difficult for them to level out the trails and pack them down.
We got done there then went down to and up the little Blackfoot to the "Y" at telegraph unloaded there went up to the turn off at Marianne took it went all the way back up to where it comes out at telegraph again, then continued up telegraph to where the trail comes in from bullion parks, went over to bullion parks then down Minnehaha to clear out the two big drifts that are always there, came back up over the top went down Bryan Creek to telegraph and back to the truck.
Now tomorrow we are going to unload at the beginning of Minnehaha go up and this time go over toward the moon get on basin Creek Road then to cataract Road then uncle Sam then rocker peak then Jack Creek then Buckeye Meadows and back hopefully. That might be it because they say (whoever "they" are) it's supposed to get 70° later this week SAAAY WHAAAT??? If I could capitalize louder than that I would!!
But there is a lot of fresh snow up there not in inches, in feet. It's the smoothest grooming we've done in a long time. Not only the trail but the ride in the groomer.
Till tomorrow, it's almost cold enough to be frosty out there, definitely still cold enough to be powder. 👍🏻
p.s. sorry no pictures today, definitely get some tomorrow. Maybe with the snow over the tracks of the groomer.😀
