Recently, MTCPA’s Board of Directors gathered in Three Forks for our Spring Board Retreat—spending time focused on the future of the profession and the members we serve across Montana.

Over several days, board members discussed key initiatives including CPE, AI, member engagement, ethics, financial planning, and preparations for the Annual Meeting. The retreat also created space for thoughtful conversations about where the profession is headed and how MTCPA can continue supporting Montana CPAs in meaningful ways.

We’re grateful for the leadership, insight, and dedication of our Board—and for the opportunity to do important work in one of Montana’s beautiful settings.

We’re excited to welcome Brandy Lawson (FieryFX) to our 113th Annual Conference next month!

Her keynote, “AI Curious to AI Capable,” will be all about helping CPAs move from “I should learn about AI…” to actually using practical AI tools in their day-to-day work.

Even better? Her breakout workshop will give attendees real AI experiments they can start using the very next week.

We had a great time at our recent Firm Crawl with University of Montana students! 👏

Students had the opportunity to visit a variety of firms around town, gaining firsthand insight into the day-to-day of the accounting profession, asking questions, and making valuable connections along the way.
