Bridges Helena Community Connections and some of its programs are alive and well, though virtual, in this COVID time. Helena Community Connections, Inc. HCC, Inc.

HCC has missed seeing everyone at monthly, in person events, such as Bridges Buffet, Cranium Cafe, My Destiny and Gentle Ways. (HCC) is an IRS tax exempt 501(c)(3) community organization that is the legal entity for Bridges --- the umbrella term for a growing set of programs which educate, encourage and inspire individuals to take charge of the aging process by charting pathways and bridges to pur

poseful aging. Our mission is to engage community organizations to conduct workshops, lectures, personal interactions, and educational opportunities that enrich the quality of life for all. is an organization that offers enrichment services as a gift to the community. HCC promotes no particular religious traditions and welcomes all to participate in a non-discriminatory environment and handicapped accessible facility. Six local faith communities came together to form the Board of Directors including Covenant United Methodist, First Presbyterian, First Christian, Our Redeemer's Lutheran, Plymouth Congregational and St. Paul's United Methodist. HCC invites participation of communities across all religious traditions to join HCC in offering life enrichment gifts to those over 50. HCC board members continue to discuss when we all can meet again face to face. HCC’s return to normalcy is uncertain at this time. HCC misses the fellowship that we all enjoy face to face. HCC looks forward to seeing you all again. In the meantime, please follow HCC’s reopening status (Community Page, each Friday, Independent Record) and enjoy the sometimes homegrown virtual Bridges programs.

Hello Friends,

We regret to inform you that Helena Community Connections, Inc. has decided to cease offering programming. This includes Bridges Buffet, My Destiny, Cranium Café, and Gentle Ways. The decision to discontinue our offerings was not easy, but we hope to re-organize at a future date to help people chart their pathway to purposeful aging. We can’t fully express our deep gratitude for your participation and support over the past 7 years.

All of us involved with HCC have enjoyed our relationships with sponsors including area churches and businesses, Montana AARP, and all who encouraged us by attending program offerings. These programs would not have been as successful as they were without your support and loyalty. Thank you for being a part of our Helena Community Connections family in all its ups and downs.

Helena Community Connections has suspended all of its programming effective February, 2022. Our hope is to resume in-person events and classes as soon as we are able to gather together in a safe and responsible manner. Watch for e-mails and updates on our website or page regarding the re-starting of our community program offerings. Our sincere thanks to everyone for your continued support.

Her is the January Cranium Cafe program. A few days late due to technical issues!

Helena Community Connections randomly selected the names of winners in its Christmas Drawing in mid-December. Each name drawn won a $100 WinCo gift card.

Merry Christmas!

This is a reminder that Helena Community Connections is offering $100 grocery gift card drawings in the month of December instead of virtual programming.

To enter the drawings, you must have participated in Bridges Buffet, Cranium Cafe, or My Destiny programming. Only one entry per household will be allowed. Five $100 Winco gift cards will be given away on December 14, 2021. Gift cards will be mailed to winners.

Go to www.bridgeshcc.org, complete a contact us form, and in the Your Message block write “drawing entry.” Please include your primary mailing address so HCC can let you know if you won. Entries will only be accepted from December 3, 2021 through 12 midnight on December 13, 2021.

We are holding drawings for grocery gift cards!

Helena Community Connections, life enrichment for older adults, has decided to offer grocery gift card drawings in the month of December instead of virtual programming.

To enter the drawings, you must have participated in Bridges Buffet, Cranium Cafe, or My Destiny programming. Only one entry per household will be allowed. Five $100 WinCo gift cards will be given away.
