๐Ÿฉ A sweet morning at Helena High!

Kiwanis members stopped by Helena High School to celebrate Bengal Day โ€” and of course, enjoy a few donuts along the way.

Itโ€™s always a great time connecting with students, sharing a little joy, and being part of the school community (especially when donuts are involved ๐Ÿ˜„).

Thanks to everyone who helped make it a fun and welcoming morning!

๐Ÿ’™ Supporting mental health in our community

At a recent meeting, President Mike Christenson presented Vilette Burk of the Mental Health Block Party on Rodney Street with a check for $500.

The event will be held on May 16th, bringing awareness, connection, and support around mental health here in Helena.

Weโ€™re also proud to share that Kiwanis member Rebecca Hargis is involved in this important effort โ€” another example of our members showing up and making a difference beyond our meetings.

Weโ€™re grateful to support initiatives that strengthen the well-being of our community.

๐Ÿ’™ Funds in action โ€” supporting our community

At a recent meeting, President Mike Christenson presented Ashley Callison of the YMCA with a check for $1,000 on behalf of the Helena Kiwanis Club.

This is what Kiwanis is all about โ€” turning fundraising into real support for organizations that make a difference for youth and families in our community.

Weโ€™re proud to partner with the YMCA and invest in the important work they do every day.

๐ŸŽค A great conversation with Mayor Emily Dean

We were honored to welcome Helena Mayor Emily Dean as the guest speaker at a recent Helena Kiwanis Club meeting.

Mayor Dean shared insights about our community and the work happening across Helena. We appreciate her time, leadership, and willingness to engage with local service organizations like Kiwanis.

Our club is fortunate to regularly host thoughtful and interesting speakers that our members truly enjoy and learn from. Itโ€™s one of the many ways we stay connected to the pulse of our community.

Thank you, Mayor Dean, for joining us!

โญ PAL Students of the Month!

We were proud to recognize the PAL Students of the Month at a recent Helena Kiwanis meeting.

These students were honored for their hard work, growth, and commitment to showing up for themselves and their education. It was a pleasure to celebrate their accomplishments alongside their teacher and share a meal together.

Congratulations to each of these students โ€” weโ€™re cheering you on and excited to see whatโ€™s ahead for you. ๐Ÿ‘

๐Ÿ‘ Congratulations to Travis Brazill!

For the past 15 years, Travis Brazill โ€” Helena Kiwanis member and President of Farmers Bank Helena โ€” has been deeply involved with PAL (Project for Alternative Learning). Most Fridays, youโ€™ll find Travis at PAL High School, meeting with students and sharing leadership, encouragement, and real-world life lessons.

On Monday, Travis was honored with the Community Partner in Education Award at the School Administrators Annual Conference in Bozeman, MT.

This award recognizes a private citizen โ€” outside of the professional education system โ€” who consistently shows up to support education and youth through meaningful involvement that truly impacts schools and communities.

Travis embodies what it means to serve. We are incredibly proud of him and grateful for his long-standing commitment to supporting young people in our community. Congratulations, Travis! โค๏ธ

๐Ÿ”” Giving back on a chilly December night!

Last night, members of the Helena High School Key Club bundled up and rang bells for the Salvation Army at Murdochโ€™s โ€” spreading holiday cheer and supporting an important cause.

Despite the cold, spirits were high and the students had a great time serving our community. Weโ€™re proud to support these young leaders and their commitment to showing up for Helena when it matters.

Way to go, Key Club! โค๏ธ

๐Ÿž Warren School BUG Program โ€” Bring Up Grades Recognition!

This week, we were honored to host Warren Schoolโ€™s 4th and 5th grade BUG Program students at our Kiwanis meeting. The students joined us for lunch and were recognized for their academic, social behavior, & emotional progress and hard work.

The Bring Up Grades (BUG) Program celebrates students who have shown improvement in their grades โ€” reminding them that effort matters and growth is something to be proud of.

We loved having these young learners with us and cheering them on. Congratulations to all the students who were recognized โ€” keep up the great work! ๐ŸŽ‰
